Before the meeting, Jane Furchgott and Linda Stadler gave a slide show about their January trip to Santa Teresa. Peter Smith expressed satisfaction that the work he started in Nicaragua is continuing.

President Derrick Gee called the meeting to order at approximately 7: 15 p.m. SCP board members attending were David Rhodes, José Marroquin, Cathy Pierce, Jane Furchgott, Derrick Gee, Maggie Lee, and Linda Stadler. Guests were Jim Pierce, Charles Munch, Rob Horwich, Peter Smith, Sally Leong, Mary and Neil Bard, Aaron Wunnicke, Chelsea Bagot, Glenn Forchione, Gale Mahan

Secretary Jane Furchgott read the minutes of the 2008 annual meeting, which were approved. (David moved/José seconded)

Stein Goering's Treasurer’s report was presented by Derrick, and approved by the board. (Peter moved/David seconded)

President Derrick Gee read his annual report.

Jane read the names of the people who agreed to serve as board members. They are: Derrick Gee, Janet Gee, José Marroquin, Jane Furchgott, Linda Stadler, David Rhodes, Stein Goering, Cathy Pierce and Elizabeth Pflug-Froh. There were no further nominations for the board members. The nominations and acceptance for SCP officers are President: Derrick Gee; Vice President: José Marroquin; Treasurer; Stein Goering; Secretary: Jane Furchgott. There were no further nominations.
